I am interested in the effects of political ideology and partisan polarisation on science-based issues such as climate change.
As a member of the Misinformation Lab I am currently conducting a number of projects related to responses to persuasive messages among conservatives and predictors of vaccine hesitancy, climate change denial, and willingness to consume food that contains genetically modified organisms (GMO).
Current projects include:
Responses to persuasive messages about climate change: The effect of message framing.
The relationship between trust in science, ideology, and vaccine hesitancy and GMO-food avoidance
The effect of political humour on support for climate change mitigation
Ideologies, political identity, and climate change mitigation support
